Is cortisone good for eczema?

I've been dealing with occasional eczema flare-ups for a while now. A friend recommended trying cortisone to calm the itching and redness. Is cortisone generally good for treating eczema?

I panicked when my doctor first prescribed cortisone, thinking steroids are dangerous for my skin. But using a mild version for just three days completely cleared my flare-up with zero side effects. Just trust your doctor and don't worry!

I completely understand how stressful it is to deal with constant itching and worrying about side effects of skin creams. It can really affect your sleep and mood. Cortisone is good for quick relief, but please talk to a dermatologist to ease your mind.

Hey, don't stress too much about using it! Cortisone is super effective for soothing that horrible eczema itch quickly. Just use a tiny bit as recommended by a doctor, and keep your skin well-moisturized with a gentle lotion.

Cortisone creams are quite affordable and readily available. However, using them blindly can lead to skin thinning, which will cost much more to treat later. It's cheaper to pay for one doctor visit now and get the right prescription.

Bro, it definitely works wonders when the itching gets out of hand. But don't make the mistake of using it like a regular moisturizer. Apply it only on the spot for a few days, and consult a doc first.

Yes, it really helps calm the red and itchy patches! 🌟 Just remember it is a short-term helper, not a daily lotion. Always get a doctor's go-ahead before starting.
