Is congestive heart failure the same as a heart attack?

My father has congestive heart failure, and I'm trying to understand more about it. Is congestive heart failure the same condition as having a heart attack? I always thought they were different.

They are totally different things, guys. A heart attack is a sudden plumbing block in the heart, while heart failure is more like a weak battery that pumps slowly. My biology teacher explained this last semester, so yeah, not the same.

No, they are different, but honestly, even reading the word 'failure' makes my heart race with worry! A heart attack is a sudden block of blood flow, while heart failure means the heart is just tired and pumping weakly. If you are feeling any chest pain or shortness of breath, please don't wait and see a doctor.

No yaar, they are actually totally different. A heart attack is like a sudden traffic jam in the blood vessels, while heart failure is like the engine itself losing power over time. Both are serious, so better not to take any chances and see a doc.

No, they are distinct conditions with different treatment protocols. You should never self-diagnose heart-related symptoms. Please get a proper ECG and echo done by a qualified cardiologist to know exactly how your heart is functioning.

They are different, my dear. A heart attack happens suddenly when a vessel is blocked, but heart failure is a long-term condition where the heart muscle has weakened. Both need careful medical attention, so always stay in touch with your family doctor.

No, they are different. A heart attack is a sudden blockage, while congestive heart failure is a long-term pumping issue.

No, they are not the same. A heart attack is a sudden crisis, but congestive heart failure is a chronic condition. As someone with high BP, I know we have to keep our pressure in check through lifestyle and regular doctor visits to prevent both of these.
