Is colon cancer common?

I've been hearing more about colon cancer recently, and it's making me a bit anxious. Is colon cancer a common disease in India, or is it relatively rare?

I keep seeing so many posts about colon health lately and it makes me really anxious. Is anyone else constantly worried about minor stomach issues thinking it might be something serious like colon cancer? How do you guys manage this fear?

It is common enough that we should not ignore persistent symptoms like blood in stool or unexplained weight loss. I delayed my checkup thinking it was just piles, which led to complications. Please consult a gastroenterologist if you feel something is wrong.

While it is one of the more common cancers globally, there is no need to panic. If you eat well and get regular checkups, the risk is highly manageable. Just stay aware of your body and don't stress needlessly.

My uncle got diagnosed last year, and the doctors said they are actually seeing a lot more cases now because of modern junk food habits. It's becoming more common, but if caught early, it's highly treatable. Keep an eye on your gut health.

In our times, we ate simple home-cooked food which kept the stomach healthy. Nowadays, outside food has increased these stomach issues. While you can keep your bowels clean with warm milk and triphala, always show a doctor if there is persistent pain.

With high BP, I have to go for regular health checkups anyway, and my doctor suggested adding a colon screening after age 45. It is fairly common, so staying proactive with your health checkups is the best defense.

We read about this in our biology seminar. It's actually one of the most common cancers worldwide. Honestly, looking at how much processed stuff we eat, it's a good reminder to start eating better and taking gut health seriously.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, colon cancer is among the top ten cancers in India, and cases are rising in urban areas. My physician mentioned that sedentary lifestyles and processed foods are major risk factors, so preventive screening is very important.

It is common enough that any persistent change in bowel habits lasting more than a few weeks warrants a doctor's visit. Don't assume it's just acidity or IBS. Getting a colonoscopy is the only sure way to rule it out.

It is becoming more common, but a lot of risk can be reduced by diet. Eating plenty of fiber, whole grains, and fresh vegetables helps keep the colon clean. Try to limit heavily processed and packaged foods as much as possible.
