Is coconut oil good for fatty liver disease?

My husband has fatty liver disease, and we are trying to make diet changes. We cook a lot with coconut oil here. Can you tell me if coconut oil is good for fatty liver disease, or should we avoid it completely?

I manage both diabetes and fatty liver, so I have to be extremely careful with fats. Coconut oil is high in saturated fat, which can affect your lipid profile and insulin resistance if consumed in excess. I keep my oil intake to a minimum and prefer light, boiled, or grilled food.

Please don't worry too much. Fatty liver can get better if you eat simple, home-cooked meals with very little oil. It's best to avoid heavy oils like coconut oil for a while.

Honestly, I barely have time to sleep, let alone research high-fat diets. My doctor told me flat out that fatty liver means too much fat in the liver, so adding more coconut oil to my food makes zero sense. I just cut down on my late-night fast food instead.

Instead of looking for a miracle oil, focus on burning the fat already stored in your liver. I managed mine by doing 45 minutes of brisk walking daily and cutting down on heavy fats like butter and coconut oil. Stay active and let your body heal.

I totally get it, searching for the right food when you have fatty liver is so confusing and stressful. While some websites praise coconut oil, it is highly saturated and might load your liver. It's better to be safe and stick to a low-fat diet while consulting your doctor.
