Is coconut oil good for dandruff?

I've been struggling with dandruff for a long time, and nothing seems to work. My friend told me to try applying coconut oil to my scalp regularly. Is coconut oil good for dandruff, or should I look for something else?

Haan bilkul, coconut oil toh humare yahan dadi-nani ke time se chal raha hai na. Par ek cheez hai, agar aapko bohot zyada dandruff hai toh oil lagane se scalp aur oily ho sakti hai aur dandruff badh jayega. So thoda dhyan se use karna.

Honestly, I barely get 4 hours of sleep and my hair is a mess. I tried coconut oil for dandruff and it just made my pillow cover dirty and my scalp sticky. If you have dry skin it might help, but for me, an actual anti-dandruff shampoo was the only lifesaver.

Don't stress too much about it, yaar, almost everyone deals with dandruff at some point! Just warm up some coconut oil, squeeze a little lemon juice in it, apply for 30 minutes, and wash it off. It works wonders for dry winter flakes.

I know how embarrassing it feels to have white flakes falling on your clothes, it used to make me so self-conscious. Coconut oil can moisturize a dry scalp, but if it is seborrheic dermatitis, oiling can actually make it worse. Please check with a dermatologist if it doesn't go away.

While we talk about oiling externally, dandruff is often connected to gut health and yeast overgrowth. Keep your diet clean and low in sugar, and wash the coconut oil out of your hair within an hour so it doesn't feed the scalp fungus.

Don't believe every blog that says coconut oil is a cure-all. Dandruff is usually caused by a fungus called Malassezia, which actually feeds on the lipids in coconut oil. Go see a proper skin doctor and get a medicated ketoconazole shampoo instead.
