Is climbing stairs a good exercise for weight loss?

I'm trying to lose some weight, and my knees can't handle high-impact exercises. My neighbour suggested climbing stairs. Is climbing stairs considered a good exercise for weight loss? We have a lot of stairs at home, so it's convenient.

Climbing stairs is a fantastic, free workout! No gym membership needed, no fancy equipment. It really gets your heart rate up and strengthens your legs, which is great for burning calories. Definitely incorporate it into your routine, it's efficient and easy on the wallet.

I've heard it's really good for cardio and building strength. I always get so out of breath when I climb a few flights, so it must be effective, right? But I worry if it's too hard on the knees in the long run. Does anyone else feel that, or is it just me?

Yaar, actually, it's a super effective workout! Especially if you live in an apartment building, you can just ditch the lift and take the stairs. It gets your heart pumping and is great for your legs and glutes. Definitely helps with burning calories and weight loss, but consistent effort matters, haan.

OMG, yes! It's such a killer workout, but in a good way. My friend lost so much weight just by doing stairs regularly. It's like a mini cardio and strength session combined. Just make sure your knees are okay, and don't stress too much, just keep moving!
