Is cleaning good for mental health?

Lately, I've been feeling a bit stressed with work and home duties. Someone told me that cleaning can actually be good for your mental health. Is there any truth to this, or is it just another chore?

Oh, bilkul! Hamare zamane mein toh ghar saaf rakhna hi shanti deta tha. Jab ghar saaf hota hai na, toh mann bhi saaf lagta hai. Ek tarah ki exercise bhi ho jaati hai, aur dil ko bhi sukoon milta hai.

Honestly, yes! When my room is messy, my mind feels messy too. But after a good clean-up, I feel so much lighter and more organized, mentally. It's like a reset button for my brain, really helps with stress.

Cleaning can be therapeutic for sure, it gives you a sense of control. But if you're struggling to even start cleaning, or if it feels like too much, don't dismiss that. I ignored my low mood for too long, thinking a clean home would fix everything. Sometimes, you need to talk to a professional too.

Yaar, for me, if my desk is a mess, I can't focus on studies or work. So, a quick clean-up actually helps clear my head. It's not a magic fix for everything, but it definitely puts me in a better mood and helps me think clearly.

Cleaning brings order, child. Order in the home often brings order to the mind. It's a simple, ancient wisdom. Just like having fresh air and sunlight, keeping your surroundings clean can uplift your spirits. Try lighting a lamp and some incense too, it helps.

It's totally okay to look for simple ways to feel better when your mind is heavy. For me, cleaning does give a small sense of accomplishment and control, which can be really calming. It's like you're taking care of your space, and by extension, yourself.

It's a low-cost, high-return activity, if you ask me. No money needed for equipment, just effort. Better than paying for therapy sometimes, although if things are serious, you should see a doctor. But for general mood boost, cleaning helps me feel productive and less overwhelmed.

Haanji, bilkul! Jab ghar chamakta hai na toh mann bhi khush ho jaata hai. Halka-phulka kaam karne se tan-badan bhi theek rehta hai aur dimag mein bhi accha lagta hai. Bahut sukoon milta hai, beti.

Good for mental health? Haan, until my back gives up! But seriously, seeing things organized does make you feel a bit less crazy. It's like, okay, at least *this* much is in order, even if life isn't. Small victories, I guess.
