Is chocolate milk good for diabetics?

My younger brother has type 1 diabetes and he's a picky eater, especially with drinks. He loves chocolate milk. I'm wondering if chocolate milk is good for diabetics, maybe in moderation, or if we should avoid it completely.

My son was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and he loves chocolate milk. We had to completely stop the store-bought ones because they are loaded with extra sugar. Now I occasionally make him a version at home using cold milk, unsweetened cocoa powder, and a tiny bit of stevia.

Ready-made chocolate milk has a high glycemic load and will spike your blood sugar very fast. If your doctor allows, you can make a low-carb version with almond milk and pure cocoa before a workout. The physical activity will help keep your sugar levels stable.

It is so tough when you just want a simple comfort drink like chocolate milk but your health condition stops you. I used to feel very depressed seeing others enjoy these things. Finding sugar-free cocoa options really helped me cope without hurting my health.

At my age, my doctor looks at me like I committed a crime if I even mention chocolate milk! It has way too much sugar for a diabetic. Better stick to plain old unsweetened buttermilk and keep our sugar readings in check.

I have lived with diabetes for twenty-five years now. Packed sweet drinks like chocolate milk are highly dangerous for our health. Stick to plain milk or curd, and don't complicate your health with these sugary modern drinks.

I was recently told my sugar levels are in the prediabetic range. I love drinking chocolate milk in the morning. Is there any diabetic-friendly brand available in India, or should I stop drinking milk altogether? Any help would be great.
