Is chlorine good for eczema?

My younger sister has eczema patches on her arms. Our aunt told us that swimming in chlorinated water actually helps with skin conditions. Is chlorine good for eczema?

Definitely not good, from my experience. I let my daughter swim regularly with mild eczema, thinking it was just a small thing, and the chlorine made it flare up terribly. We ended up at the doctor with a much worse condition. Please, if you have eczema, avoid chlorine or at least talk to a dermatologist about protective measures.

Beta, for eczema, anything that makes the skin dry is usually not good. Chlorine is like that, it takes away the natural oils. So it's mostly bad for eczema, not good. Be gentle with your skin and use lots of good oil or moisturizer, okay?

Achcha, for eczema, chlorine is usually very irritating, not good. Back in our day, we used to say, any harsh chemical makes skin troubles worse. So, no, it's not good. Always rinse thoroughly after swimming and apply a good moisturizer to keep the skin from drying out further. Take care, my child.

From what I know, chlorine tends to dry out the skin, which is exactly what eczema sufferers don't need. It can strip the skin's protective barrier. For me, managing my BP also means being mindful of overall health and avoiding irritants. So, no, chlorine is not good for eczema. Always get regular checkups for your skin condition.

Arre, haan, chlorine is generally not good for eczema, na. It dries out the skin and can irritate it even more, causing flare-ups. So, if you're swimming, make sure to rinse off properly and moisturize well afterwards. Be careful!

For eczema, we always try to use natural things at home, like pure coconut oil or aloe vera for moisture. Chlorine, being a chemical, can be very harsh and make eczema worse by drying the skin. So, no, it's not good. If it's severe, please see a skin doctor, don't just rely on home remedies alone.

Is chlorine good for eczema? That's like asking if a lemon bath is good for a paper cut! 😂 Definitely not. Chlorine is super drying and can make your eczema feel like it's throwing a full-blown tantrum. Avoid it like bad wifi!

Ho na, chlorine is not good for eczema at all. It dries the skin and can make it itchy and red. So if you go for swimming, immediately take a shower with plain water and apply lots of moisturizer, haan. Be very careful with sensitive skin.
