Is cerave good for psoriasis?

Been dealing with psoriasis patches on my elbows and knees for a while now. I saw an ad for Cerave products and wondered if anyone here has tried them for psoriasis. Does it actually help with the dryness and scaling?

Psoriasis is a difficult condition, beta. While gentle moisturizers can help keep the skin soft and less itchy, it's not a simple rash. Cerave is mild, so it might help with the dryness. But for real relief, please see a skin doctor. They can give proper medicine and advice.

Psoriasis is a chronic condition and needs careful management. While Cerave products are often good for dry, sensitive skin, they are not a specific treatment for psoriasis. You absolutely need to consult a dermatologist for an accurate diagnosis and proper treatment plan. Don't self-medicate for such conditions.

I don't know much about psoriasis, but I've heard Cerave is good for sensitive skin. Does it help with the flakiness too? Or just the dryness? Maybe a dermatologist can say for sure what's best.

Cerave is well-regarded for its ability to restore the skin barrier, which is compromised in conditions like psoriasis. It can definitely help with dryness and irritation, providing symptomatic relief. However, psoriasis is an autoimmune condition, so a dermatologist will likely prescribe specific medications alongside good moisturizers. Use it as part of a broader treatment plan, not as a standalone cure.

For inflammatory conditions like psoriasis, diet is super important. Avoiding processed foods and having a balanced vegetarian diet can sometimes help manage flare-ups. Cerave products are gentle and good for moisturizing, which is essential for psoriasis, but it won't address the root cause. Consider both external care and internal health.
