Is cedar fever contagious?

My sister has been having severe allergic reactions with fever-like symptoms, and someone mentioned 'cedar fever'. We're wondering if it's contagious like the flu or if it's just an allergic reaction.

No, beti, cedar fever is not contagious. My son suffers from severe cedar fever every winter, and it's basically an allergic reaction to cedar pollen, just like hay fever. It's caused by airborne particles, not by contact with another person. So no need to worry about it spreading.

Cedar fever is an allergy, not an infection, so you can't catch it from someone else. I used to think all 'fevers' were contagious too! For relief, things like saline rinses and steam help. But for proper management, especially if it's severe, an allergist can give you practical solutions like antihistamines.

Na beti, yeh kisi ko lagta nahi hai. Jaise kuch logon ko dhool se allergy hoti hai na, waise hi yeh ped ke phoolon ki wajah se hota hai. Apne aap hota hai, doosron se nahi phailta. Agar zyada pareshaani ho toh doctor ko dikhana.

Ho na, it's not contagious. It's an allergy, like when someone reacts to dust or certain foods. So no worries about spreading it to others. My friend has it, and she just gets congested and sneezes a lot, but no one else catches it from her, haan na.

Cedar fever is an allergic reaction to pollen, so it's not contagious like a cold or flu. You can't pass it to another person. For mild symptoms, steam inhalation and natural remedies can help. But if it gets severe, with breathing issues or high fever, please do see a doctor quickly, don't delay.
