Is castor oil good for psoriasis and eczema?

My wife and I both have skin conditions, I have psoriasis and she has eczema. We're wondering if there's one natural remedy that could help both of us. Is castor oil good for both psoriasis and eczema?

Please be careful with internet remedies for chronic skin conditions like psoriasis and eczema. While castor oil might moisturize, it's not a verified treatment. Always consult a dermatologist before applying anything to your skin, especially if it's inflamed or sensitive. Self-medication can make things worse.

For conditions like psoriasis and eczema, it's good to keep your skin nourished and calm. Castor oil can certainly help in moisturizing and reducing irritation. Along with any treatment, remember to stay positive and gentle with yourself. Inner peace also reflects on the skin. Take care.

I've been thinking about trying castor oil for my eczema, but I'm a bit nervous about making it worse. Has anyone with sensitive skin used it and found it to be okay? Does it feel too heavy or greasy? I'm always worried about new products.

Hey! So for eczema, castor oil can be pretty soothing because it's so thick and moisturizing, helps to lock in moisture. For psoriasis, I've heard it can help with the flakiness and dryness. Just make sure to do a patch test first, because everyone's skin reacts differently, you know?

Okay, so I had a bad eczema flare-up recently, and my dermatologist actually recommended mixing a tiny bit of castor oil with my regular moisturizer for the really dry, inflamed patches. It helped calm the itching and redness a lot! It's not a cure, but it's great for soothing. Psoriasis might be similar, but always check with your doc.

For chronic skin conditions, I've seen that diet and hydration play a huge role, which I track with my health app. Castor oil can provide good topical relief for dryness and inflammation in psoriasis and eczema, acting as a barrier. But it needs to be part of a larger plan, likely prescribed by a doctor.
