Is castile soap good for eczema?

My daughter has mild eczema and I'm always looking for gentle, natural products for her. A friend recommended castile soap. Is it generally considered good for eczema-prone skin?

I track all my skin flare-ups on an app, and I noticed my skin got super dry when I used pure castile soap. While it has no chemicals, it is highly alkaline and can strip the skin barrier. For eczema, a soap-free, pH-balanced cleanser is usually safer.

Our skin is a reflection of our inner peace and physical balance. Pure castile soap made from olive oil is very clean, but eczema skin is very delicate, so treat it with extra gentleness and don't scrub too hard.

Staying active and sweat-free helps manage eczema, but using the right soap is also key. Castile soap is natural, but it can sometimes be too drying for eczema-prone skin because of its high pH. Always ask your doctor before switching skincare routines.

Even though castile soap is natural and plant-based, it can be highly drying for eczema because it lacks moisturizing agents. I suggest using a gentle, fragrance-free syndet bar or a dermatologist-recommended moisturizing cleanser instead.

I tried treating my dry skin patches with natural castile soaps thinking it was just winter dryness, but it made my eczema so bad that my skin started bleeding. Please don't self-treat skin issues—go to a dermatologist and get a proper prescription.
