Is carcinoma skin cancer?

My neighbor recently got diagnosed with carcinoma, and I was trying to understand more about it. Is carcinoma always a type of skin cancer, or can it occur in other parts of the body too?

Yes, basal cell and squamous cell carcinomas are types of skin cancer. Just like we do regular BP checks, we must get any unusual moles or skin changes checked by a doctor right away.

Beta, please don't try any home remedies or oils for skin growths. Carcinoma is a type of cancer, and only a proper skin specialist can check it. Get a biopsy done immediately if your doctor suggests it.

It is so scary when you hear terms like carcinoma. My friend's daughter had a suspicious skin patch, but thankfully they got it removed on time. Please show it to a doctor immediately to be completely safe.

I had basal cell carcinoma removed from my shoulder two years ago. Yes, it is skin cancer, but it is highly curable with minor surgery. Don't delay, go get a professional skin biopsy done.

My elders always said to protect ourselves from harsh midday sun. While carcinoma is indeed a type of skin cancer, modern medicine has excellent treatments if it is detected early. Do consult an oncologist soon.

When my relative had a skin growth, we took them to Max Hospital. The doctors explained that some carcinomas are highly treatable if caught early. Please ask your dermatologist for a clear treatment plan.

Hey, yes, carcinoma is basically a term for cancer that starts in the skin or tissues. Don't panic by googling stuff, just book an appointment with a dermatologist to get a clear answer.
