Is cantaloupe ok for diabetics?

My doctor recently diagnosed me with diabetes, and I'm trying to figure out what fruits are safe to eat. My wife brought home some cantaloupe, and I was wondering if it's okay for someone with diabetes to have it? Don't want to mess up my sugar levels.

Haan na, kharidne se pehle humein bhi thoda tension tha. But actually cantaloupe, matlab kharbuja, is decent for diabetes if you eat it in limit. Bas check your sugar levels after eating to see how your body reacts, ho na.

Bro my dad has diabetes and he literally eats like 3-4 slices of kharbuja in summers. It has mostly water so it doesnt spike his sugar crazy fast. Just dont make juice out of it, eating whole fruit is much better.

Honestly I got so scared when my fasting sugar went up after eating a small bowl of cantaloupe last week. Did anyone else face this issue or is my meter just acting up? I am super confused if I should continue having it.

My doctor explained that cantaloupe has a medium glycemic index, but its glycemic load is actually quite low because it is full of water. He advised me to limit my portion to 100 grams a day. Also, try pairing it with some nuts to slow down sugar absorption.

Man, living with diabetes is tough when you have a sweet tooth! Cantaloupe is my absolute savior when those sweet cravings hit hard. I just chop a small cup, chill it in the fridge, and enjoy it guilt-free without touching actual sweets.

Beta, in our days we always ate seasonal fruits but in very small quantities. Kharbuja is cooling for the body, but make sure you eat it in the morning, not at night. If you feel uneasy, check with your doctor once.
