Is cancer random?
My father always says that cancer just happens to some people, no rhyme or reason. I'm trying to understand, is there truly no pattern to who gets cancer, or are there some underlying factors that increase the risk?

Our family elders say everything is karma, but our doctor explains that cancer has a large element of biological randomness. It is basically a copying error in our DNA during cell division. While we should live healthy, sometimes it is just pure bad luck.
Honestly, at this age, my back pain feels random, so cellular mutations definitely feel random too. You can eat organic and exercise daily and still get it, or smoke daily and live till 90. Biology has a very weird sense of humor.
Look, research shows a lot of it is just random cellular bad luck when DNA replicates. So don't stress too much trying to live a 100% perfect life. Just eat your green veggies, stay active, and enjoy your life peacefully!
While there is a huge factor of random genetic mutation, lifestyle choices also play a big role. If you notice any sudden, unexplained changes in your body, please don't dismiss it as random. Go get a proper medical checkup done immediately.
It does feel very random sometimes, ho na. We see perfectly healthy young people getting sick suddenly. That is why keeping a calm mind and not taking too much stress is so important, haan.
