Is cancer of the pancreas fatal?

A distant relative of mine was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and everyone is saying it's a very serious condition. I'm worried for them. Is cancer of the pancreas almost always fatal, or are there chances of recovery?

It is considered very serious, ho na, because it is often detected quite late. But with early diagnosis and modern surgeries, some patients definitely recover. Don't lose hope so easily, haan.

It has a pretty scary reputation, but science is advancing fast. While I love trying all kinds of spicy food, I make sure to avoid chronic alcohol and heavy smoking which are major risk factors for this pancreas trouble.

My oncologist friend explained that pancreatic cancer has a high mortality rate because the pancreas is deep inside the body, making early tumors hard to see during routine exams. However, if caught in Stage 1 or 2, surgical resection like the Whipple procedure can be curative.

It is a highly aggressive cancer, but it is not automatically fatal. Survival depends heavily on the stage of detection and the patient's overall health.

Eating fresh, bitter gourd, and avoiding heavy alcohol helps protect the pancreas naturally. But pancreatic issues are very dangerous, so if there is sudden weight loss or jaundice, please run to a specialist immediately instead of trying home remedies.

A close colleague of mine was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and it was a very tough battle. Thankfully, because they caught it early during a routine scan, the doctors were able to operate successfully. It really depends on luck and early detection.
