Is cancer is communicable disease?

My friend's child has a playdate with a kid whose parent has cancer, and my friend was worried. She asked me if cancer is a communicable disease. Can cancer be spread from person to person just by being around them?

When my uncle had throat cancer, we all stayed in the same house and shared meals, and nobody else ever got it. The doctors told us clearly it doesn't spread that way, so it is definitely not communicable.

I used to be so scared and worry if cancer could spread like a viral infection, but it's totally not true. It is a completely non-communicable disease, so you can safely hug and care for anyone who is sick.

No, cancer is absolutely not communicable. It is caused by internal cell changes and genetic mutations, not by viruses or bacteria that can jump from person to person. You can fearlessly spend time with patients.

As a mother, I can assure you that cancer is not a communicable disease. Other children can safely play with a child undergoing treatment without any risk of catching it. They need love, not isolation.

Nahi, yeh aapsi sampark se nahi failta hai. Yeh koi chhua-chhoot ki bimari nahi hai, isliye marij se dori banane ki bilkul bhi jaroorat nahi hoti.

Simple answer: No, it is not communicable at all. You cannot catch cancer by touching, sharing food, or breathing the same air as a patient, so let's stop believing these old myths.
