Is calamine lotion good for eczema?

My daughter has patches of eczema on her arms and legs that flare up sometimes. My mother-in-law suggested putting calamine lotion on it to soothe the itching. Is calamine lotion good for eczema, or should I be careful?

I kept applying calamine lotion on my itchy rash for weeks, thinking it would go away, but it got severely infected and cracked. Please don't make the same mistake. Go to a dermatologist and get a proper prescription.

I tried it on my eczema patches last winter and it made my skin super dry and flaky. It gives a nice cooling feel for five minutes, but then the itching actually gets worse because of the dryness. Better stick to a heavy moisturizer.

I stayed up all night scratching my arm, and honestly, calamine didn't do much except make me look like a pink ghost. It dries out the skin too much. What we actually need is heavy hydration and some sleep!

Beta, calamine lotion eczema ke liye theek nahi hai kyunki yeh skin ko bilkul sukha bana deta hai. Doctor babu ko dikha kar koi acchi cream le lo, wahi sabse accha rahega aapke liye.

Don't waste time experimenting with over-the-counter calamine. Eczema requires specific steroid or non-steroid moisturizing creams. Book a quick online dermatologist consult to get the right medicine immediately.

I have tried coconut oil, neem paste, and calamine for my skin issues. Calamine is only good for watery insect bites, not dry eczema. Applying pure virgin coconut oil after a bath is much more practical for soothing dry itchiness.

Hey, don't stress too much about the itchy patches! Just stop using calamine because it will dry you out. Grab a thick, fragrance-free cream like Cetaphil and see your doctor soon. It will get sorted out, don't worry.
