Is caffeine bad for pcos?

I was recently diagnosed with PCOS and my gynaecologist told me to make some lifestyle changes. I really love my daily coffee fix. Is caffeine bad for PCOS, and should I stop drinking it completely?

My endocrinologist explained that caffeine can raise cortisol levels, which might mess with our progesterone and estrogen balance. She advised me to limit it to one cup of light tea, and never drink it on an empty stomach to avoid insulin spikes.

I have been watching a lot of reels saying caffeine is poison for PCOS, but then some dietitians say a little black coffee is fine. It is so confusing to find real information. I guess I will just try cutting it down for a month to see if my skin clears up.

Haan na, managing PCOS is so annoying. I used to drink three coffees a day and my periods were so delayed. Now I am trying to control it and have switched to herbal tea, it is actually helping a bit with the bloating.

Listen, don't stress too much about cutting out everything you love. If coffee makes you happy, just have one small cup after breakfast. Stressing over the diet is actually worse for your hormones than a little bit of caffeine!

Between my PCOS fatigue and my sleep cycle being totally ruined, caffeine is the only thing keeping me alive at my desk. If I stop drinking tea, I will probably sleep on my keyboard. I just try to keep it to two cups max.

Bro, with college exams and assignments, staying awake without coffee is literally impossible. I have PCOS too, but I just try to have normal home-made chai instead of those sugary iced coffees from the canteen. Seems to work okay for now.

There is no one-size-fits-all rule for PCOS because everyone's insulin sensitivity and hormone profiles are different. Some women tolerate caffeine perfectly well, while others experience severe hormonal acne. It is best to consult your gynecologist or a clinical nutritionist to get personalized advice.

I absolutely love trying new cafes, so saying goodbye to hazelnut lattes was heartbreaking. But my dietitian suggested substituting normal milk with almond or oat milk, which is lighter on PCOS digestion. It actually tastes quite good!

Caffeine can sometimes affect sleep quality, which directly impacts insulin resistance in PCOS. Try not to have any caffeine after 3 PM. This simple change can really help regulate your sleep and hormones without completely giving up coffee.

PCOS is hard to live with, and making diet changes is very tiring. Just take it one step at a time. If you want to reduce caffeine, try doing it slowly so you don't get bad headaches.
