Is cabbage kidney friendly?

My mother has kidney problems and we have to be very careful with her diet. I want to include more vegetables. Is cabbage kidney friendly, or should we avoid it?

Cabbage actually kidney ke liye bohot achha hota hai, ho na. Isme potassium aur phosphorus bohot kam hota hai jo kidneys par pressure nahi dalta. Halka paka kar khayein toh aur bhi safe rehta hai.

I am new to learning about kidney diets for my father. I read cabbage is safe, but is red cabbage also kidney-friendly or should we stick only to white/green cabbage? Any guidance would be really helpful.

My kidney markers got elevated last year and my doctor strictly restricted high-potassium greens like spinach. Cabbage became my go-to vegetable because it is safe and easy on the kidneys. My latest reports are much better now.

Yes, cabbage is widely recommended for kidney patients because it's low in potassium and rich in Vitamin C. I often make a light, boiled cabbage side dish for my grandmother. It is very easy for elderly people to digest too.

I used to panic every time I had to cook for my uncle who has chronic kidney disease, thinking everything would hurt his kidneys. But his renal doctor reassured me that cabbage is completely safe and actually highly recommended. It took a lot of worry off my shoulders.

My dad is a kidney patient and cabbage is literally the main veggie his doctor allowed. It has very low sodium and potassium, making it super safe. Just make sure to wash it properly and cook it well.

Cabbage is a natural, cooling food that doesn't heat up the body or strain the kidneys. It is good to include it in daily meals, but if there is any swelling in the feet or difficulty in urination, please go see a doctor immediately instead of relying only on diet.
