Is broccoli not good for thyroid?

I have hypothyroidism, and someone told me that certain vegetables, like broccoli, might not be good for my thyroid. I'm a bit confused because I thought greens were healthy. Is broccoli actually bad for thyroid patients?

Don't stress too much about this. Broccoli is only an issue for the thyroid if you eat it raw in massive quantities every single day. If you cook it nicely, the heat destroys the goitrogens, making it completely safe for you to enjoy.

Yes, raw broccoli has goitrogens, but cooking it makes it fine. Managing thyroid, just like high BP, is more about overall lifestyle, taking your daily morning pill, and getting regular blood tests. Don't worry about minor food details too much.

Listen, nobody got thyroid issues from eating normal portions of cooked broccoli. Just don't start drinking raw broccoli juices or eating raw salads. Boil it or stir-fry it properly and you are good to go.

In our times, we ate all green vegetables but always cooked them thoroughly with spices like turmeric and ginger. Raw vegetables can be hard on the thyroid gland. Cook your broccoli well and it will not cause any harm.

It is perfectly fine to eat broccoli as long as it is cooked. Just avoid eating it raw.

Half the information on the internet about thyroid diets is exaggerated. Don't stop eating healthy vegetables based on random blogs. Talk to your endocrinologist and let them tell you if you need to restrict anything.

Humare yahan toh sab sabzi banakar hi khate hain, koi kacha nahi khata. Cooked broccoli is very good for health and won't affect your thyroid. Just eat simple home-cooked meals and stay healthy.

If broccoli was that powerful, people would be using it instead of actual thyroid medicine! Relax, just steam it nicely and eat it. It's totally safe in normal food portions.

Haan na, even I heard that broccoli is bad for thyroid, but actually cooking it makes it safe. My doctor told me there is no need to completely stop it. Just avoid raw salads and you are fine.

Honestly, unless you are consuming kilos of raw broccoli daily, it won't affect your thyroid. Just stir-fry it with your dinner and take your medication on time. No need to overcomplicate simple meals.
