Is broccoli bad for kidney stones?

My father recently had kidney stones, and the doctor advised him on certain foods to avoid. I'm a bit worried because I really like broccoli, but someone told me it might be bad for kidney stones. Is this true, or can I still eat it safely?

Suno boss, broccoli mein oxalates hote hain par palak jitne nahi hote. Agar tumhein calcium oxalate kidney stones ki problem hai, toh limit mein khao. Par sabse zaroori cheez hai ki pani dba ke piyo taaki pathri bane hi na.

No, broccoli isn't strictly bad unless you are eating it in crazy amounts everyday. It is much lower in oxalates than spinach or beetroot. Stop overthinking, eat it cooked, and keep your daily hydration levels high.

Broccoli contains moderate levels of oxalates compared to high-oxalate foods like spinach. However, kidney stones can be of different types, such as uric acid or calcium oxalate. It is highly recommended to consult a urologist or clinical dietitian to customize your diet based on your stone analysis.

Broccoli mein thoda oxalate hota hai, par moderate khaoge toh chalta hai, haan na. Agar kidney stone ki history hai toh doctor se ek baar diet chart banwa lo, woh sabse safe rahega.

Actually, you don't need to completely cut out broccoli. It has some oxalates, but if you eat it along with calcium-rich foods like dahi, the calcium binds to oxalates in your stomach before reaching your kidneys. Just make sure you are drinking at least 3 liters of water daily!

Broccoli is excellent for managing diabetes due to its low glycemic index, but if you also have kidney stones, you have to find a balance. Moderate consumption is usually fine, but always check with your physician so your diet doesn't affect your kidney health.
