Is brain cancer painful?

Someone I know is going through treatment for a brain tumor, and they seem to be in a lot of discomfort. Is brain cancer typically a very painful condition? I want to know how much support they might need.

I constantly worry about headaches being something serious, so this question really hits home. Yes, brain cancer can cause headaches because of pressure buildup, but doctors have excellent pain management therapies now. Please don't panic reading scary things online, and talk to a doctor to ease your mind.

I panicked like crazy when my father had terrible headaches, thinking it was a brain tumor. It turned out to be just severe migraine. While brain tumors can cause pain due to pressure, doctors can manage it very well with medications. Don't jump to conclusions, get a proper diagnosis first.

At Max Hospital, the doctors explained to us that brain tissue itself doesn't feel pain, but the pressure on surrounding nerves and blood vessels causes severe headaches. Pain levels vary from person to person. You should ask your neurologist clearly about pain management options if a family member is suffering.

In older times we used to treat headaches with herbal oils, but for serious conditions like brain tumors, the pain is due to internal pressure. Traditional remedies won't work for this. You must take proper hospital medicines as prescribed by the neuro specialist.
