Is beer or liquor worse for your liver?

I'm trying to be more mindful of my health, especially my liver. I drink sometimes, but I'm not sure which is worse for the liver, beer or liquor? There are so many conflicting opinions out there.

Dono hi liver ke liye kharab hain, haan! Kuch log sochte hain beer halki hai toh chalega, par log volume zyada pi lete hain. End mein liver ko toh wahi alcohol process karna padta hai na, toh dono se bachna hi sahi hai.

I am quite new to understanding this and always assumed beer was much safer than strong liquor. Is it true that the damage depends only on the total alcohol amount we drink? If anyone has consulted a doctor about this, could you please share?

Yaar, actually both are equally bad if you do not control the quantity. People think whisky is stronger so it is worse, but we drink beer in much larger quantities. Your liver has to struggle either way, so limit both.

I spent years comparing drinks till my fatty liver diagnosis woke me up. Neither is better; it is the total volume of pure alcohol that kills the liver cells. My advice is to stop comparing, cut down the frequency, and drink loads of water during your dry weeks.

They both strain your liver in the same way if you drink too much. It is best to give your body a break and stay hydrated with fresh juices or coconut water instead.
