Is banana good for liver cirrhosis?

My father-in-law has been diagnosed with liver cirrhosis, and we are very careful about his diet now. We often have bananas at home. Is banana good for liver cirrhosis patients, or should we limit it?

Liver cirrhosis needs very specific dietary care. It's best not to guess with such a critical condition. Please consult a hepatologist or a specialized dietitian for proper guidance on diet, including fruits like bananas.

For something as serious as liver cirrhosis, dietary choices are really important and must be guided by medical professionals. Bananas have potassium, and depending on the stage of cirrhosis, potassium levels might need careful management. Please, consult a doctor or a liver specialist, don't rely on general advice.

Liver cirrhosis sounds very serious. I'd be so worried about what to eat or not. Is it true that diet can make a huge difference in managing it? Has anyone been told specific fruits to avoid or favor for this condition?

My brother had liver cirrhosis, and his diet was extremely strict. His doctor gave him a detailed list of what to eat and what to avoid, and it changed often based on his condition. We were told to be very careful with potassium-rich foods like bananas because of fluid retention issues. You MUST talk to a doctor.
