Is atrial fibrillation a heart attack?

My husband was recently diagnosed with atrial fibrillation, and we are quite worried about it. Someone in the family said it's a type of heart attack. Is atrial fibrillation the same thing as a heart attack, ya kuch aur hai?

No, it is not a heart attack. Atrial fibrillation is an irregular heartbeat issue. Honestly, when I drink too much strong filter coffee, my heart starts racing too, but AFib is a medical condition that needs proper doctor's advice.

No, it's not a heart attack, but the fluttering feeling in the chest is so scary! Has anyone else felt their heart beating super fast and unevenly out of nowhere? It makes me so nervous.

It is an electrical rhythm problem in the upper chambers of the heart, not a blockage like a heart attack. Since I manage high blood pressure, I know how important regular cardiac checkups and a low-salt lifestyle are to prevent complications.

While keeping a calm mind with deep breathing helps keep the pulse stable, AFib is a serious electrical issue of the heart, not a heart attack. If you feel sudden chest pain or severe breathlessness, please go to the hospital immediately.

It's an irregular rhythm, not a heart attack. Though with my zero sleep schedule and three cups of espresso, my heart is probably doing its own little dance right now anyway. Get a proper checkup done!

No, AFib is an arrhythmia (irregular heartbeat), whereas a heart attack is a blood flow blockage. I use an Apple Watch to track my ECG and heart rate variability, which is very helpful, but you must consult a cardiologist for clinical diagnosis.

It is different from a heart attack, but AFib can lead to blood clots and stroke if left untreated. I had severe palpitations and delayed seeing a cardiologist, which was a big mistake. Please get an ECG done immediately.
