Is atkins good for diabetics?

My doctor recently told me I have pre-diabetes, and I'm looking into different diet options. A friend suggested the Atkins diet, but I'm unsure if it's suitable for someone with blood sugar concerns. Is the Atkins diet good for diabetics?

I know how stressful it is to manage diabetes and find the right diet, it used to give me so much anxiety. While low-carb diets like Atkins can help lower sugar, they can also be very hard on your body. Take it easy and talk to a dietitian first.

Please be very careful. I tried a high-fat, low-carb diet on my own and my cholesterol levels shot up drastically, leading to other issues. You must get your kidney and lipid profiles checked before starting Atkins.

Honestly, Atkins can work wonders for blood sugar control because you cut out almost all carbs. But it's not sustainable for the typical Indian diet. Talk to a professional rather than guessing your macros.

Any extreme diet can be dangerous when you have diabetes. It is highly recommended to consult your diabetologist first to see if your body can handle the high protein and fat in Atkins safely.

I totally get it, trying to figure out what to eat when you have diabetes is exhausting. Atkins might help drop your numbers quickly, but the high fat might not suit everyone. Please consult your doctor before making huge changes.
