Is asthma fatal?

My younger sister had a very severe asthma attack last night, and it was quite frightening. It made me think about the worst-case scenarios. Is asthma fatal?

With modern inhalers and proper care, asthma is very easily manageable! 👍 Just follow your doctor's advice, keep your inhaler handy, and stay happy and active! No need to worry! 😊

Look, if you ignore severe attacks and don't take your medicines, it can definitely become very dangerous. But if you take your regular daily doses as prescribed, there is absolutely no need to panic. Be responsible about your health.

Humare pados mein ek babuji ko barso se yeh bimar hai, woh roz subah ghoomte hain aur dawai lete hain. Darna bilkul nahi, bas samay par apni dava khayein aur thand se bachein toh kuch bura nahi hoga.

Yes, severe untreated asthma attacks can be fatal, which is why you shouldn't rely on home remedies or online advice for asthma management. Only a proper pulmonologist can give you an emergency action plan. Don't take chances with breathing issues.

If you don't take your inhaler and run a marathon in heavy pollution, then yes, it might be. Otherwise, we asthma patients are quite stubborn and live long lives. Just keep the pump close and ignore the scary Google search results.

While extreme cases can be life-threatening if medical help is delayed, almost all deaths from asthma are preventable. Keep your rescue inhaler with you at all times and know when to head to the hospital if the chest tightness doesn't go away.
