Is asthma copd?

I've heard people use the terms asthma and COPD interchangeably, but I'm not sure if they are the same condition. Can someone clarify? Is asthma COPD?

No, asthma is not the same as COPD, though both affect our breathing. My grandmother used to say that drinking warm milk with a pinch of turmeric helps clear the chest, which is comforting. But for a correct diagnosis, we always trust the doctor's tests and advice.

No, they are different! Asthma is like a temporary traffic jam in your lungs that clears up, while COPD is more like a permanent road closure. Don't worry, as long as you have your inhaler, your lungs will keep running smoothly!

I used to search this up on the internet at midnight and get so terrified thinking they are the same thing. But please don't overthink, asthma is not COPD. They are different conditions and a good doctor can easily guide you on this.

No, asthma is definitely not COPD. I have had mild asthma since childhood, and my lungs are otherwise completely fine. Just use your inhalers when needed and stay active, it is very manageable!

No, thankfully they are separate. My body already struggles to keep up with Delhi's pollution, and having asthma is enough drama for me. Just stick to your doctor's inhaler plan and don't take on the extra stress of COPD.
