Is asthma considered a disability?

I've been dealing with asthma since childhood, and sometimes it really impacts my daily activities and work. I was wondering if it's severe enough to be considered a disability. Is asthma considered a disability in India?

Honestly, I have had asthma since I was 10 and I've never considered it a disability. I play football, travel, and do everything normally. You just need to keep your inhaler in your bag and take your daily doses on time, that's all.

In India, mild or moderate asthma is generally not classified as a legal disability, though severe cases might have different rules. Just like I manage my diabetes with strict diet control and regular monitoring, asthma can be kept in check without affecting your daily functions.

No way, asthma shouldn't stop you from doing anything! Many world-class athletes have asthma. If you focus on your nutrition, do regular cardio to strengthen your lungs, and follow your doctor's plan, it definitely won't feel like a disability.

Haan na, normally isko disability nahi maante kyunki ye control ho jata hai easily. Agar hum roz ki dawai time pe lein toh sab normal chalta hai. Bas season change hote waqt thoda dhyan rakhna padta hai.

I have mild asthma too, and while it can be super annoying during allergy season, it doesn't limit my life or count as a disability. Just carry your pocket inhaler, avoid dusty carpets, and you can comfortably go about your daily work.
