Is asthma common?

I feel like a lot of people around me, especially children, have asthma. Is asthma a common condition in India? I see many kids carrying inhalers.

Yes, it is extremely common now, especially with the rising pollution levels in cities like Delhi NCR. I barely have time between meetings, so I keep my inhaler in my laptop bag and set a calendar reminder for my doctor appointments. If you feel any wheezing, just get a quick spirometry test done over the weekend and don't delay.

Haan na, it is very common nowadays. Hamare building mein hi teen-chaar logon ko hai, especially winter season mein problem badhti hai. Accha doctor pakdo aur unki baat suno, life easy ho jayegi, tension mat lo bilkul.

Listen, don't stress at all. Asthma is super common and you are definitely not alone in this. Almost every second person has some form of dust or pollen allergy that leads to mild asthma. Just take care of yourself, wear a mask when going out in heavy traffic, and see a good doc, okay?

In my 70 years, I have seen so many people in my family and neighborhood live with asthma. It is very common, but let me assure you, it does not stop you from living a full life if you manage it well. Back in our days we didn't have such advanced inhalers, but now the treatments are so simple and safe.

Yes, asthma is quite common. Just like I have to get my thyroid levels checked regularly and adjust my dosage, asthma also requires regular follow-ups with your doctor and lung function tests. It is all about monitoring the condition so it doesn't catch you off guard.

It is actually very common, especially in young kids these days. My 8-year-old son has it, and initially, I was so scared when he struggled to breathe during play. But once we started the doctor's recommended inhaler and kept the house dust-free, he has been totally fine and active.
