No bro, it's not autoimmune. I have had asthma since I was ten, and my doctor told me it's an inflammatory disease where the airways react to dust and pollen, not my body attacking itself. It's totally manageable.

Agreeing with others here, it is not an autoimmune disease. It is mainly a chronic inflammatory condition of the airways triggered by external factors.

I panicked so much when I first got diagnosed, thinking my immune system was failing or something. But my doctor calmed me down and explained it's just hyper-reactive airways, not an autoimmune condition. Once I started my daily inhaler, life went back to normal.

While medical science generally classifies it as inflammatory rather than autoimmune, you should never make assumptions. It is always safest to consult a pulmonologist for an accurate diagnosis and proper guidance.

Listen, don't stress too much about these big medical words! Asthma is not autoimmune, it's just your lungs reacting strongly to stuff like dust or cold air. You're going to be totally fine, just take care!
