Is asthma a restrictive lung disease?

My lung function tests showed some issues, and the doctor used a lot of technical terms. Could someone explain if asthma is considered a restrictive lung disease?

Nahi yaar, asthma restrictive nahi balki obstructive lung disease hai. Isme saans lene mein thodi rukawat hoti hai par lungs fully expand ho sakte hain. Tension mat lo aur doctor se consult karo, haina?

No, asthma is classified as an obstructive airway disease because the airways narrow down during a flare-up. Restrictive diseases are a different category. Just take your regular doctor-prescribed inhaler as advised.

No beta, it is actually an obstructive disease, which means the air passages get temporarily blocked. I tried many home remedies for years but ultimately, a proper doctor-prescribed inhaler is what truly helps when the airways narrow down.

It is obstructive, but whatever the medical term, please do not ignore your breathing issues. I delayed my checkup thinking it was normal and suffered a lot, so please see a pulmonologist immediately.

No, it is obstructive. Just like my high BP, managing lung issues requires regular medical supervision and keeping a healthy lifestyle. Please consult your doctor for a proper checkup.

It is an obstructive lung disease. However, please don't try to self-diagnose your breathing issues, as I had severe complications by ignoring my symptoms. Get a proper lung function test done by a qualified doctor.

I kept reading about restrictive and obstructive diseases and it made me so scared. Did anyone else also feel lost and anxious trying to understand their lung reports on their own?

Actually, it is an obstructive lung disease, yaar. Restrictive ones are completely different and much rarer. You should definitely check with your doc to get the exact details for your peace of mind.

No, it is an obstructive condition, and I have lived with it for over thirty years now. Don't let these big medical words frighten you. With proper care from your doctor, you can live a long, happy life.

Hey, don't stress too much! Asthma is just an obstructive condition where the airways get a little tight temporarily. It is super common and totally treatable, so relax and take it easy.
