Is asthma a physical disability?

I'm trying to get some benefits for my condition, and they asked if it's a physical disability. My asthma limits my physical activities quite a bit. Is asthma classified as a physical disability?

Actually, my doctor explained that asthma is classified as a chronic medical condition, not a physical disability. Under Indian laws, it is generally not considered a disability unless it is an extremely rare, severe, and untreatable case that severely limits daily life.

No, it is not a physical disability. With a simple, regular doctor-prescribed treatment, most people live completely normal and active lives.

Haha, no, it's not a physical disability, though climbing three flights of stairs definitely makes me feel like I need a new pair of lungs! It's just a manageable breathing issue, so don't worry.

I was diagnosed last year and was worried about the same thing, but it's not a disability at all. After a few months of regular treatment and avoiding my dust triggers, my breathing is completely fine and I work out daily.

From what I've researched, it's definitely not a physical disability. It's just a chronic respiratory condition that occasionally flares up. Most people manage it so well you wouldn't even know they have it.
