Is ashwagandha bad for liver?

I started taking ashwagandha for stress relief after my friend recommended it. But now I read something online that it might affect the liver. Is ashwagandha bad for the liver, should I stop taking it?

Honestly, I track all my supplements on my fitness app and haven't logged any liver issues with ashwagandha. But high doses can sometimes irritate the system, so keeping it in moderation is key. Better to use a clean brand and log how your body responds.

I totally get why you're asking this, even I used to obsessively search about every herb before taking it because I was so scared of side effects. For most people it's totally safe, but if you have existing health anxiety, just getting a quick liver function test done first will really give you peace of mind.

Please be careful because I actually had a bad reaction with my liver enzymes spiking after taking random Ayurvedic supplements. It's not as harmless as people think. Definitely get a doctor's opinion before starting it, especially if you already have some health issues.

Haan, log sochte hain natural hai toh jitna marzi khaa lo, but aisa nahi hota na. Limit mein loge toh liver ko kuch nahi hoga. Mere chacha bhi lete hain, proper gap dekar khaya karo bas.
