Is arthritis worse in winter or summer?

My grandmother's arthritis pain is always very bad in winter, she can barely move her joints. But my neighbor says his pain gets worse in summer due to the heat. Does arthritis really get worse in winter or summer, or depends on person?

Definitely winter is worse because the cold weather makes the joints very stiff. Just wear warm socks and use a simple hot water bottle to keep yourself comfortable.

Most people find winter worse. If you need to consult a doctor, try to book your appointments and tests before the peak winter season when rush and rates sometimes go up.

Winter is generally more challenging for arthritis. I hope you stay warm and comfortable during the colder months.

In my experience with chronic issues, winter generally brings more stiffness and pain. Just make sure to keep your body warm and don't hesitate to check with a doctor if the season change is too hard.
