Is arthritis inherited from mother or father?

Both my mother and my father have different types of arthritis. I'm getting worried about my own future health. If it's inherited, does it typically come from one side of the family more than the other, like from mother or father?

It can come from either side, as genetics are complex. But regardless of who passed it down, gentle yogic stretches and pranayama can help maintain joint health and peace of mind.

There is no single rule that it only comes from mother or father. Don't believe random online posts claiming this; always consult a medical geneticist or rheumatologist for correct facts.

My mother had it, and I got it too. While we can't change our genes, using mustard oil massages and warm water therapies at home has helped me manage the symptoms very well.

My grandmother used to say it comes from the maternal side, but when I consulted our family doctor, he clarified it can be inherited from either parent. It is best to trust scientific facts.

My mom has bad knees and my dad has gout, so I got lucky from both sides! Honestly, just try to stay active and hope for the best.

I used to worry so much about getting my father's severe arthritis. It is natural to feel anxious when you see your parents in pain, but remember, having the gene doesn't guarantee you will get it.

It can be passed down from either side of the family. If you have a family history, please get a checkup done if you start experiencing joint pain for safety.

Bhai, genetics can come from mother or father, nobody can choose. Focus on what you can control—maintain your weight, eat right, and keep moving.

It can be inherited from either side. If your parents have it, just be proactive with your health, get regular checkups, and don't waste time worrying about who passed it down.

It can be inherited from either parent. However, you can offset this risk by staying fit. Daily walking, if your doctor says it's okay, is great for keeping your joints healthy.

Whether it's from mother or father, eating anti-inflammatory vegetarian foods like ginger, turmeric, and green veggies can help reduce the genetic risk. Avoid processed foods as much as possible.
