Is arthritis communicable?

My mother has arthritis, and sometimes her hands look very swollen. My younger niece was playing with her and then had some minor joint pain too, which made me wonder. Is arthritis something that can be communicable, like a cold?

No way, it isn't communicable. If it were, my wife would have given it to me by now with all her knee pain complaints. Rest easy, it doesn't spread.

Haha, absolutely not! You can't catch arthritis by shaking hands or sitting next to someone. It is strictly an internal joint wear-and-tear or immune issue.

No, not at all! It's a completely non-infectious condition of the joints. You can safely hug and spend time with your loved ones who have it without any worry.

No, it is non-communicable, just like diabetes. It's caused by internal body factors and lifestyle. Focus on maintaining a healthy weight and diet to protect your joints.

I looked this up recently! No, it is a non-communicable disease. It's caused by lifestyle, genetics, or autoimmune issues, so you can't pass it on to anyone.
