Is aquaphor good for psoriasis?

My psoriasis has been acting up, and my skin gets really dry and flaky. My dermatologist suggested a strong emollient, and I saw Aquaphor mentioned online. Is it actually good for psoriasis, or is it just another cream that won't make a difference?

I have mild psoriasis on my elbows and Aquaphor has really helped me manage the extreme flaking and cracking. It doesn't cure the redness, but it definitely keeps the skin from bleeding. This is just my personal experience though.

It is so thick and soothing! Psoriasis patches can get super itchy and painful, so applying a layer of Aquaphor at night really helps calm things down. Definitely worth trying if your skin feels too dry.

My skin gets so dry it looks like a dry map of India, and honestly Aquaphor is the only thing that acts like heavy-duty grease. It is super sticky, so don't wear your favorite clothes after putting it on, unless you want oil stains everywhere.

These modern foreign creams are fine, but in our times, pure virgin coconut oil was the best for dry skin scaling. You can use Aquaphor as it keeps the skin soft, but also ensure you stay away from hot water baths.

Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition, not just dry skin. While Aquaphor is a good emollient to keep skin moist, it won't treat the underlying inflammation. Please consult a dermatologist for proper prescription ointments.
