Is apple juice ok to drink after vomiting?

My little one, Riya, just threw up, and she's asking for something to drink. Someone suggested apple juice to rehydrate her, but I'm a bit worried if it's too much for her stomach right now. She's only 4.

After vomiting, your stomach is super sensitive. Apple juice can be too sugary and acidic, which might irritate it more or even make you vomit again. Focus on clear, bland fluids like ORS or plain water first. Once you're properly hydrated and feeling better, maybe then try a very diluted juice. And take it easy with any strenuous activity until you're fully recovered!

My doctor, when I had a severe stomach bug, specifically advised against fruit juices initially after vomiting. He explained that the high sugar content, even natural sugars, can sometimes draw water into the intestines, potentially worsening diarrhea or discomfort. He recommended starting with sips of clear broth or oral rehydration solutions to replenish electrolytes safely. Once the stomach settles, then very diluted juices might be considered.

When I was recovering from vomiting a few months back, I found apple juice actually made me feel a bit queasy again because of the sweetness. I stuck to plain water and coconut water for the first day. Once I could handle bland food, then I tried very diluted apple juice, like half water, half juice. Go slow!

After vomiting, your body needs gentle nourishment and hydration. Sometimes apple juice, especially cold or very sweet, can be a bit harsh. Warm water with a pinch of salt and a few drops of lemon can be very soothing. Allow your agni (digestive fire) to become stable before introducing anything too stimulating. Listen to your body's signals.

No, it's generally not the best idea right after vomiting. Your stomach is very sensitive and apple juice contains a fair amount of sugar, which can sometimes make the nausea or stomach upset worse. It's better to start with small sips of clear fluids like water or ORS (oral rehydration solution) to replace lost electrolytes. Once you feel a little better, you can try diluted juice.

Bro, after puking, my stomach feels super weird. Apple juice can sometimes feel too sweet or even make me feel gassy. I usually just stick to plain water or some clear soup. Don't wanna risk another round trip, you know?

Haan, log bolte hain juice peelo but vomiting ke baad stomach bahut sensitive hota hai na. Apple juice mein thoda sugar hota hai aur acidity bhi, toh woh sometimes tummy ko irritate kar sakta hai. Better hai pehle thoda sa paani ya ORS lo. Jab thoda better feel ho, tab diluted juice try kar sakte ho.

It's really important to be gentle with your system after vomiting. Apple juice, even fresh, can be quite acidic and high in natural sugars, which might not be ideal for an irritated stomach lining. I'd lean towards very light, clear fluids like vegetable broth or diluted ORS first to rehydrate properly. Gradually introduce very diluted fruit juices later if tolerated.
