Is apple cider good for dandruff?

I've been struggling with dandruff for ages, and none of the shampoos seem to work completely. My barber mentioned that apple cider could be a natural remedy. Is apple cider really good for getting rid of dandruff, or is it just another myth?

Please be careful. I applied undiluted apple cider vinegar to my itchy scalp, and it caused severe chemical burns and hair fall. Go to a dermatologist and get a proper antifungal shampoo instead of experimenting.

There is very little scientific evidence backing this up. Dandruff is usually a yeast infection, so trust a dermatologist's prescription rather than random internet home remedies that can worsen scalp irritation.

I tried lemon juice, curd, and apple cider vinegar for my dandruff, and honestly, only diluted apple cider vinegar worked a little bit. Always mix it with equal parts of water and wash it off within ten minutes.

Don't stress, dandruff is a very common issue and can be treated easily. If you want to try apple cider vinegar, just use it as a final rinse once a week, but stop immediately if your scalp feels itchy or irritated.

It is actually a great natural remedy! Just mix equal parts water and apple cider vinegar, spray it on, and enjoy a clean, shiny scalp.

While the acidity of apple cider vinegar can help reduce yeast growth on the scalp, it is not a permanent solution for chronic dandruff. Consulting a doctor to find the root cause, like seborrheic dermatitis, is always the best approach.

Actually, apple cider vinegar works really well to remove product buildup, yaar. Just dilute it with lots of water, otherwise, the smell is super strong and it might sting your eyes.

I cleared my stubborn dandruff using a ketoconazole shampoo prescribed by my doctor, but I used diluted apple cider vinegar once a month to keep my scalp clean. It works, but only as a supportive rinse, not as a main cure.

Diluted apple cider vinegar does help some people balance their scalp pH. Just be gentle with your hair and avoid scratching your scalp.
