Is an angina attack a heart attack?

My friend recently had what he called an angina attack. He's fine now, but it got me thinking. Is an angina attack the same as a heart attack, or is it a warning sign?

Umm, I'm not sure, but I thought they were kind of similar? So an angina attack means it's not a heart attack yet, but it's a warning? Is that right?

Nahi beta, angina attack dil ka dard hota hai jo batata hai ki kuch gadbad hai. Heart attack toh jab dil ko khoon milna band ho jaye. Angina ek tarah se warning hai. Doctor ko dikhana chahiye agar aisa kuch ho.

Haha, no, an angina attack is like your heart giving you a very polite, yet firm, 'dude, slow down!' It's a warning sign, not the big drama yet. A heart attack is when it's like, 'Surprise! I quit!' So yeah, listen to the 'dude, slow down' part!

I was researching this too! From what I gather, angina is chest pain from reduced blood flow to the heart, but the heart muscle isn't dying yet. A heart attack is when that blood flow is completely blocked, causing muscle damage. So, one's a warning, the other is the event.

Angina aur heart attack alag alag hain. Angina chest pain hota hai jab heart ko enough oxygen nahi milta. Heart attack tab hota hai jab blood flow poora block ho jaye aur heart muscle damage ho. Angina ko serious warning samajh ke doctor ko dikhana hi best practical solution hai.
