Is alt a liver enzyme?

My recent blood test report showed elevated ALT levels. My doctor briefly mentioned it's a liver enzyme. I just want to understand if ALT is indeed considered a liver enzyme and what that signifies.

Yes, ALT, or Alanine Aminotransferase, is indeed a liver enzyme. It's often checked in liver function tests.

Haan, ALT is a liver enzyme. When I was learning about liver health in my yoga teacher training, they always mentioned these enzymes. Keeping a healthy lifestyle, with good food and pranayama, helps maintain overall liver function.

Yes, ALT is a liver enzyme. My son had slightly elevated levels once when he was sick, and the doctor explained it to us. It's a common indicator for liver health, so if you're worried, definitely get it checked properly.

Haha, yes, ALT is definitely a liver enzyme! It's one of those fancy abbreviations doctors throw around. Think of it as your liver's little alarm system. If it's too high, your liver might be yelling for help. 😉

Absolutely, ALT is a key liver enzyme. I had slightly high ALT myself a few years ago. My doctor advised cutting down on processed foods, alcohol, and exercising regularly. Within a few months, my levels were back to normal. Don't ignore it if yours are high, get a proper diagnosis.
