Is alcoholic hepatitis contagious?

My neighbor was just diagnosed with alcoholic hepatitis, and I'm a bit worried. Is alcoholic hepatitis something that can spread from person to person?

No, alcoholic hepatitis is not contagious. It is caused by heavy alcohol intake and is a form of liver inflammation.

Oh, that's a relief to know! I was actually wondering about this. So, it's completely different from other types of hepatitis like A, B, or C, right?

It's a scary term, I know. Hearing about liver conditions can be really alarming. But don't worry, alcoholic hepatitis is not contagious. It's a direct result of heavy alcohol consumption, not something you can catch from someone.

Ho na, bahut log confuse ho jaate hain. But no, alcoholic hepatitis contagious nahi hota. Ye toh heavy alcohol peene se liver ko jo damage hota hai, uski wajah se hota hai. Virus se nahi phailta.

Thank goodness it's not contagious! My brain can barely handle remembering if I brushed my teeth, let alone worrying about catching liver problems from others. 😂 It's purely an 'internal' issue from too much booze.
