Is a masters in mental health counseling worth it?

I'm considering doing a Masters in Mental Health Counseling, as I'm passionate about helping people. However, the cost is quite high. Is a masters in mental health counseling actually worth the investment in India, career-wise?

From what I understand, mental health is linked to physical health, even with things like diabetes management. A Masters in counseling would equip you to help many people. If you feel a calling to it, and it aligns with your career goals, it sounds like a valuable pursuit. There's a real need for it.

It seems like a very important field, especially now with so much stress. For me, managing my BP also involves managing stress, and I see how much good mental health can do. If you're passionate, it's worth investing in. The demand is surely growing, and good counselors are needed.

It's totally understandable to question if a big investment like a Masters degree is 'worth it,' especially when it comes to something as crucial as mental health. From my experience with anxiety, having access to qualified professionals is so important. So if you're thinking of becoming one, I'd say yes, it's definitely worth it for the impact you can have.
