Yaar, so I used to get these a lot around my lips, especially during exams. My doc told me it's HSV-1, which is a type of herpes. Nothing to freak out about, it's pretty common. Just annoying.

From what I understand, yes, fever blisters are indeed caused by the herpes simplex virus. It's often dormant and appears when immunity is low. Keeping your body balanced with yoga and pranayama can help manage such outbreaks.

Is it? Explains why I get them when I'm super stressed and haven't slept for days. My immune system probably gives up and throws a party for viruses. Sleep deprivation is definitely a killer.

Hey, don't stress too much about the 'herpes' word. Yes, technically it's caused by the herpes simplex virus, but it's super common and mostly harmless cold sores. Almost everyone gets them at some point. Just use a good ointment.

Yes, beta, it is. But don't think of it like the other 'herpes' which is more serious. This kind is very common, many people have it. My own son used to get them. It just means you need to rest and take care.
