Is a&d good for eczema?

My little one has developed some rough, dry patches on her skin that look like eczema. My friend suggested using A&D ointment. Is A&D cream safe and effective for treating eczema in babies?

Hey, I actually track my skin issues sometimes with an app, it helps see patterns. For eczema, a&d ointment has been suggested by some derms I follow online for its protective barrier. But you really should check with your own doctor first, every skin is different.

Namaste. For any skin discomfort, it is important to first calm your mind and not stress. A&D can help, but remember, true healing comes from within. Stay positive, keep your body nourished and consult a good doctor for guidance. Be well.

Honestly, don't just put anything on your skin based on internet advice. 'Good for eczema' is too vague. A&D is basically a diaper rash cream. You need to verify with a dermatologist if it's suitable for YOUR eczema type. Otherwise, you might just irritate it more.

Oh, eczema is so tough, I completely understand the struggle, it can make you feel so self-conscious and uncomfortable. I haven't tried A&D specifically, but anything that provides a good barrier and moisture can be soothing. Just make sure it doesn't have irritants for you.

Haan, A&D ointment is like a very thick protective layer na? So for kuch-kuch dry, flaky eczema, it might help keep moisture inside. But agar zyaada red ya itchy hai, toh I'd say pehle doc ko dikha do. Har skin ko alag cheez suit karti hai.

A&D is generally a petroleum-based ointment, like Vaseline, so it creates a good barrier to lock in moisture. For dry patches of eczema, this can sometimes help. But for active, inflamed eczema, you might need something more specific from a doctor. Keep it simple and see what works.

From what I've heard, A&D is mostly for protecting skin and healing minor irritations, like diaper rash. For eczema, you usually need something to calm the inflammation itself, not just moisturize. Maybe try a small patch test first, but a dermatologist visit would be best, yaar.
