Is a cold towel good for fever?

My daughter has a fever and she's very restless. My mother-in-law keeps telling me to use a cool, damp towel on her. Is a cold towel actually effective for helping with fever? I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

Yes, absolutely! Whenever I get a fever, putting a cool, damp towel on my forehead or the back of my neck makes me feel so much better. Just make sure the water is tap-cool, not freezing cold, so your body doesn't get a shock.

I used to panic so much when my child's temperature rose, thinking a cool towel would make the cold worse. But my doctor assured me it's totally normal and safe to use a damp towel to soothe the body. It really helps bring down the heat safely.

Yes, it is a safe lifestyle remedy to manage the heat. Keeping your body stress-free is important, especially since fever can also temporarily raise your blood pressure. Keep monitoring your vitals and rest well.
