Is a bath good for a fever?
My son has a high fever, and my grandmother told me to give him a bath to bring it down. Is a bath actually good for a fever, or is there a chance it could make things worse?

In my sixty years, I have seen so many seasons of flu and fevers in the family. We never take a cold bath during high fever as it shivers the body and raises the temperature more. A gentle sponge bath with lukewarm water always worked wonders to bring the heat down safely.
Beta, please avoid cold water baths completely when the body is hot with fever. Instead, just do patti with normal tap water on the forehead, and drink warm tulsi-ginger water. If the fever is high or doesn't go down by morning, you must visit a doctor.
Keep your mind calm and let your body rest, as healing happens best when we don't panic. For the fever, just clean your face and neck with a warm, damp cloth instead of a full bath. It keeps the energy flowing and gives you peace without stressing the body.
I remember feeling so helpless and hot during my last viral bout, crying because my body was aching so badly. I tried taking a cold bath thinking it would help but it gave me terrible chills. A gentle warm sponge wipe is much gentler on your mental state when you are feeling so vulnerable.
Haan yaar, normal cold water se bilkul mat nahaana temperature badh jayega. Warm water sponge kar lo thoda comfortable lagega. Rest karo aur doctor se check karwa lo na agar fever bilkul kam nahi ho raha toh.
